Former President of Eagle Crusher Dies At Age 99
Ralph Cobey, Eagle Crusher’s long-time chairman of the board, died on Jan. 16 at age 99.
A well-respected businessman, statesman and philanthropist, Cobey studied mechanical engineering prior to joining his father’s business, Perfection Steel Body Co., manufacturers of truck bodies and hoists, in 1930. Perfection manufactured the first truck bodies for the Ford Motor Co. This company grew to include a line of farm equipment, hydraulic pumps, garbage lift containers and Eagle Crusher Co., which Cobey bought in 1952. The organization was later renamed Perfection Cobey Corp.
