SEW-EURODRIVE’s X.e Series: Robust, High-Torque Drive Solutions for the Mining and Aggregate Industries

Bucket elevator and conveyor operation times in the mining and aggregate industries differ considerably concerning operating hours: some conveying systems only operate sporadically, while others run around the clock. This creates additional challenges about reliability and availability. SEW-EURODRIVE X.e series of robust drive solutions impressively meet these demanding requirements.

SEW-EURODRIVE’s X.e SeriesBuilding off the success of the proven X-Series helical and bevel-helical gear units, the X.e generation represents an evolutionary step in performance. Developed to the latest international standards with advanced calculations, the X.e gear units have been tried and tested in the harshest of conditions, both in simulated laboratories and real-world applications. The results are improvements that increase lifetime, reduce maintenance, and offer cooler operating temperatures – while maintaining the footprint and mounting geometry of the existing X-Series product.

The X.e generation allows for additional customization in these areas:

  • 23 finely-stepped frame sizes
  • Torque range to 4.2 mil lb-in
  • Multiple fan designs and diameters housed in one common shroud
  • Dust-protected, radial labyrinth and contactless sealing solutions are available in both standard and regreasable designs
  • Optimized bearings
  • Enhanced splash lubrication improves oil flow and reduces hot spots
