Amrize has agreed to acquire Rapid Redi-Mix in Dallas-Fort Worth, strengthening its Texas ready-mix, aggregates and cement network through the latest expansion.
Amrize has entered into an agreement to acquire Rapid Redi-Mix LLC, expanding its ready-mix concrete operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and strengthening its integrated construction materials network in Texas.
Rapid Redi-Mix operates a network of concrete batch plants and a mixer fleet that will complement Amrize’s existing aggregates operations and cement network in the region. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition builds on Amrize’s recent expansion in Texas, following the announced production increase at its Midlothian cement plant and its agreement to acquire PB Materials, an aggregates producer in West Texas.
Amrize Building Materials president Jaime Hill said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s position in one of the United States’ fastest-growing construction markets.
“We are excited about this highly synergistic acquisition in the growing Dallas-Fort Worth market,” Hill said.
“Rapid Redi-Mix is a great, entrepreneurial business that complements our strong aggregates and cement operations in the region. We look forward to welcoming their 100 talented teammates to the Amrize family.”
Rapid Redi-Mix founder and chief executive officer Gabe Salmons said joining Amrize would support the company’s next phase of growth.
