CDE, a global leader in the wet-processing of recycled and natural materials, have introduced their newest innovation, the ModaLine, the first in a new series of containerized sand washing solutions designed for plug-and-play operation.
The ModaLine unit allows materials processors to start operations faster due to its transportable and modular design, cutting on-site build time by as much as 60% compared with similar washing systems.
‘We’re taking plug-and-play to the next level,’ remarked CDE’s chief engineer, Kevin Vallelly. ‘This is a site-ready solution unlike anything that has come before. We’ve packed 35 years of CDE engineering excellence into a fast-deploying unit that is simple for dealers to sell and for customers to operate.’
Featuring CDE’s proven dual-pass cyclone with an integrated Infinity dewatering screen, a sand-blending chute, a high-capacity sump, a single-point connection for process water, an onboard control panel, and the flexibility to add stockpile conveyors, the ModaLine offers a full range of CDE’s sand-washing technologies in an effortlessly portable, pre-configured unit that delivers consistent results.
Uniquely, it is built within a robust steel frame designed to ISO container dimensions for easy transportation and installation. The first models in the line offer feed capacities of 250–450 tonnes/h.
Julian Fegan, CDE’s head of partnerships, said the ModaLine sand washing solution has been developed with equipment dealers in mind. ‘We’ve removed the complexity involved in commissioning a typical wash plant. ModaLine is pre-wired, pre-tested and pre-assembled to a fixed specification, so by the time it rolls on to site, the hard work is done,’ he explained.
‘For our dealers, that means fewer variables allowing for rapid, low-risk commissioning, and for materials producers, it means your solution is on site faster than before and running material sooner rather than later, with the same high degree of efficiency expected of any CDE plant.’
Tom Childs, business development manager at Goodfellows, one of CDE’s partners in North America, has hailed the ModaLine as a ‘game changer’. He commented: ‘We’re really excited about the new ModaLine. It creates genuine opportunities for plants that need the flexibility to move in and out quickly and to operate at remote job sites. The simplicity of installation is a major advantage, and we see this as a product that will add real value to our customers’ operations.’
