Improved Blast Outcomes with Dyno Nobel’s DIFFERENTIAL ENERGY®

For improved fragmentation and blast results, Dyno Nobel’s DIFFERENTIAL ENERGY and Delta E2 (ΔE2®) combine to create an ideal solution for mines and quarries of all sizes.

Dyno Nobel’s DIFFERENTIAL ENERGYDIFFERENTIAL ENERGY is a revolutionary technology that varies the density of TITAN® bulk emulsion throughout the borehole to ensure each rock segment receives the explosive energy needed for optimal fragmentation. It allows up to six energy density profiles in a single borehole to match an operation’s unique geological conditions. The ΔE2 Preload software uses data from drills and other sources that characterize rock properties to target the ideal placement of energy, and blast plans can be sent directly to the loading equipment to ensure every hole is loaded as designed.

Dyno Nobel’s DIFFERENTIAL ENERGYBy placing the explosive energy exactly where it’s needed in the blasthole, DIFFERENTIAL ENERGY improves fragmentation and blast results. It also increases safety by reducing flyrock and NOx potential and decreases environmental impact by minimizing groundwater contamination. And because the loading rate is the same as conventional single-density loading methods, operations can achieve improved blast results without additional time and effort on the pattern.
