Alexandria, VA—This year marks the 25th anniversary of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) founding. Since its inception, NSSGA has served as the leading voice and advocate for the aggregates industry in Washington, D.C. It now represents over 500 aggregates and industrial sand producers and manufacturers and services members.

“Celebrating our 25th anniversary gives NSSGA the opportunity to reflect on the past, build upon those successes and look forward to the next 25 years,” said Michele Stanley, interim CEO, NSSGA. “Currently, the association is in a very strong position, uniting the industry and effectively advocating for its long-term success.”

To commemorate this special occasion, NSSGA is showcasing its past leaders and achievements through an anniversary webpage and branded collateral highlighting the milestone. Over the course of the year, NSSGA will use an anniversary logo in its communications. The webpage collates anniversary resources to highlight a dynamic timeline, Board Chair recognition and the soon-to-be-released video of “NSSGA Through the Years.”

The association also encourages all members to participate by sharing their own memories. Through specific prompts, members can submit a memory online, which will be featured in future NSSGA communications and social channels. Attendees to any of the 2025 NSSGA events will also receive a collectible poster commemorating the anniversary.

NSSGA is the leading advocate for the aggregates industry. Its members – stone, sand and gravel producers and the equipment manufacturers and service providers who support them – produce the essential raw materials found in homes, buildings, roads, bridges and public works projects. NSSGA represents more than 90 percent of the crushed stone and 70 percent of the sand and gravel produced annually in the United States.
