Caterpillar will roll out a new education program to help the quarry and aggregate industries improve their sustainability practices. The program, called Pathways to Sustainability, will be a four-year experience involving “holistic” learning opportunities, advice on energy transitions and additional access to sustainable products.

“We are proud to support our customers every step of the way as they design their own unique paths and goals, now and through the energy transition,” Caterpillar senior vice president Marc Cameron said.

According to Caterpillar, the program is designed to teach participants how to use tools and strategies to reach their own sustainability goals. It will include in-person and virtual training opportunities focusing on strategy, people, products, processes, technology, and infrastructure related to sustainability.

Attendees will learn how to reduce site emissions through multiple avenues, including technology, reducing machine lifecycle waste, fleet-bridging strategies and solutions.

The Pathways to Sustainability program is the next phase of Caterpillar’s sustainability offerings. It builds off the company’s Early Learner program, which was established in 2021.

“To make a step-change, it will take the industry coming together. That is what our Early Learner program and now the Pathways to Sustainability program are all about – learning and working together toward a brighter future,” Cameron said.
