Industry Projects Strength With Record-setting AGG1

Another AGG1 is in the books, and this year’s version was well-received by those who ventured to Nashville.

With nearly 16,000 people on hand across three days at the Music City Center, AGG1 and the co-located World of Asphalt continue to build momentum and illustrate their value to exhibitors and attendees alike.

The Pit & Quarry staff spent all three days at the show. I made a point to ask everyone I encountered about their show experience as we navigated from booth to booth – and welcomed guests into ours – and just about everyone raved about the AGG1 that took shape.

Exhibitors were excited about the sheer volume of attendees, and they had good things to say about the quality of people who made the trip. Several exhibitors even shared how they noticed a change in attendees during the show, with operators present in one wave and executive-level types traversing the show floor in yet another.

Traffic was particularly strong the first two days. As the show opened on Day 1, a long line of people steadily streamed to the registration area in the Music City Center lobby over the course of 90 minutes. Large clusters of people were also present on the show floor on Day 2 when you stopped and looked around.

Scenes like these were good to see. They’re reminders that the aggregate industry is healthy; that producers are eager to buy and grow their businesses; and that the good times are still rolling nationwide.

AGG1 was a productive show for Pit & Quarry, as well. The staff continues to unpack the plethora of content we collected in Nashville – and you can keep tabs on that at our dedicated show webpage. We also conducted a series of interviews in our booth that will be available on the magazine’s “Drilling Deeper” podcast in the weeks to come.
