More than 25 salaried and hourly employees from Carmeuse’s Winchester operation participated in the Virginia Adopt-a-Highway program by collecting 56 bags of trash over four hours along a three-mile stretch of road in Clear Book, VA.

Through the Adopt-a-Highway program, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) provides an opportunity for groups to clean up litter, and each year more than 23,000 volunteers collect more than 44,000 bags of waste along the state’s highways.
