The new Grasan tracked belt feeder is designed for short travel from face to conveyor belt lines in quarries and sand/gravel operations. It can be customized to suit each individual customer's needs and requirements. The model shown has a 30-yard hopper capacity and can feed up to 1500 tons per hour. This unit was designed for a large western sand/gravel producer to eliminate the need for haul trucks.

The 130,000-pound, extra heavy duty unit is powered by a high torque, variable speed electro-hydraulic motor to provide greater durability, speed ratio capabilities and starting torque capacity. Hydraulic motors are smaller, lighter, require less maintenance and use less electric power than gear box drives. Further, they are not sensitive to harsh environments and have unlimited shock load capacity.
The feeder is equipped with E7 idlers and ceramic lag head pulley. Four independent hydraulic legs provide operational support during belt feeding. Remote pendant control is standard; or the unit can be programmed for automatic operation from a control tower or other location.
