Earlier this summer, I Make America, AEM’s national grassroots campaign, launched Event-in-a-Box and Take a Break. These two initiatives provide member companies the tools and resources they need to host their own I Make America events and help support the association’s grassroots advocacy efforts.
On Aug. 14, Manitou hosted its own I Make America event at their Madison, South Dakota facility. Dozens of employees participated in the event, which was executed by a team led by I Make America Ambassador and Manitou Director of Marketing Lori Heidecker. The employees learned about the top policy issues impacting the equipment manufacturing industry, snagged some cool I Make America swag, and signed up to join the grassroots campaign. One lucky participant won an exclusive I Make America-branded Otterbox cooler!
“Event-in-a-Box is an easy way for companies to introduce or remind equipment manufacturing employees about I Make America, said Heidecker. “AEM’s national grassroots campaign gives our industry’s 1.3 million men and women the opportunity to make their voice heard and highlights the need for them to engage with their elected officials. I encourage every member company to host an Event-in-a-Box and continue to work with AEM and I Make America.”
With many more Event-in-a-Box and Take-a-Break on the calendar, it’s going to be a busy and exciting fall for AEM member companies. If you’re interested in hosting an I Make America event, please reach out to AEM’s Wade Balkonis at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
